About SAGA

The Sustainable Aviation Guidance Alliance (SAGA) is a broad volunteer coalition of aviation interests formed in 2008 to assist airport operators of all sizes in planning, implementing, and maintaining a sustainability program.  The objective of SAGA is to consolidate existing sustainable guidelines and practices into a comprehensive, searchable resource that can be tailored to the unique requirements of individual airports of all sizes and in different climates/regions in the United States.

Participants include representatives from Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA); the Airport Consultants Council (ACC); the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE); the Air Transport Association (ATA); the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and consultants that represent the participating associations.

The Sponsoring Organizations of SAGA would like to specifically acknowledge individuals and firms that offered considerable time and resources developing key portions of this Resource Guide as well as the SAGA sustainability database. They include Mary Vigilante, Synergy Consultants; Eugene Peters, Ricondo & Associates; Kristin Lemaster and Magda Pavlak-Chiaradia, CDM; Carol Lurie, Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc; as well as Eric Dillinger, Jacobs.

Special thanks to the other members of the SAGA Planning Group that helped make this Resource Guide possible including representatives from Los Angeles World Airports;  Massachusetts Port Authority;  Port of Seattle; City of Chicago Department of Aviation; as well as the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority.
